Managing any team has its challenges, whether its members all work in one office or are spread out all over the world.
However, when team members are working from different locations, problems of communication, role definition, trust, alignment, workflow, and team expectations often become far more pronounced.
In this course, we discuss what a distributed team is, look at how to create rapport and maintain alignment among distributed team members, and offer a foundational toolkit to define project goals and member actions.
The course is comprised of modules exploring both the theoretical Whys and the practical Hows of creating a successful distributed team. Each unit is accompanied by videos, learning materials, and assignments, as well as opportunities to discuss learning and implementation with peers and our instructors.
